Think big people.

Ain't no chicken**** champions.

If Toronto fans are going to think big, they should also think realistic.

Malkin might be the best player in the game right now and its going to take a lot to persuade the Oilers to alter their plan with the kids in the system.

What exactly are the Leafs missing in their lineup and what's the hardest thing to replace? I think that according to most posts on here, a 1st line centreman, a front line goaltender, veteran defensive d-men and some quality 4th line players able to kill penalties and fight.

So I'm sure you can bring up guys like Broll or Crescenzi (insert 4th line fighter here) to fill that role in. The veteran defensive help can be obtained for very few prospects of value/higher draft picks. (Brooks Orpik type) A front line goaltender and 1st line centreman are going to be tough to get and would expect to overpay the most.

If anything, I go after one of Jaroslav Halak or Brian Elliott. And then I go and talk to San Jose about Joe Pavelski.
