Ok, I had a free 10 minutes to do a quick breakdown of the slider settings on "default" and "normal

EDIT: Sliders are out of 6. That's what that number indicates.

I'm sure there are other differences, but those are the ones that stood out.

Basically, on default, you only need to use two lines because guys won't tire as quickly, won't be affected as much when they are tired, and recovery much, much more quickly. As a result, they are not only able to play more, they are also better shooters, passers, hitters, etc. when they do play.

Additionally, passing is significantly easier on default, as is hitting. Screening goalies are much more effective.

The CPU AI will not make many adjustments on default, while it will on normal.

I was wrong in one respect--shooting is not directly affected--though, as I mentioned above, once fatigue is factored in, it is.

After doing this, I feel quite strongly that the settings should be set back to "normal."
