Remember, for this next NHL season, the cap will be set at $70 million. Let me rephrase that, you can have as much as $70 million, but the cap will be around $60. Pens bring in Gonch, then either let him go or sign him for less. Win-win. And we could get him cheap also. And this quote sums it up why:

"One way or another, he’s going to land back with the Penguins. He’ll either go in a trade before he becomes a UFA or sign there in the off-season. The Senators may be well-served to at least get something for him."

Maybe like a 2nd round pick for him?
