After having moved from Germany to Eugene, I have to say that a lot of beers are a lot hoppier than I expected. Even the Becks beer is hoppier than in Germany as are the Weizen. And the cheap stuff tastes like water (Miller/PBR/RollingRock etc).
I like Rogue Hazelnut but it's damn expensive IMHO.
My alltime favourite is: Altenmünster hopfig herb
The hoppiness is way over done in NA.
Ive had plenty of pale ales that had more hops than IPAs from the UK.
To me it really destroys the beer culture when everyone tries to outhop the other guy especially in beers where hops are relatively tame.
It used to be great back 10-20 years ago when a few unique brands were doing it. Now everyone and their dog does it.
