I'm so happy for Ryder. I still think Pitkanen owes the calder more than Ryder at this point (despite the awful mistake on the Dagenais goal, one mistake does not make a season). But Ryder has been as close to a top 6 forward as we've seen in ... years. The most impressiong thing is that he does it as a rookie. The forward I'd compare him to is Mike Leclerc. They play the same kind of game (altough I've seen a lot more of Ryder than Lelclerc). The only knock I have against him is his selfishness. But I blame it on his lack of experience. He'll be a better passer when he gets used to the NHL speed.
