I guess time will tell if playing so many minutes on those bad teams hurts Fowler but I don't think so as he has looked very good considering his age and need to get physically stronger.
I still don't see how you take Fowler over Subban or McDonagh. No offence meant, but it looks a bit like Homerism, on your part. Subban put up more points, had a better +/-, played more minutes, hit more, blocked more shots, was better at the positional game, plays better defensively, and draws far more penalties. Heck, Subban was arguably on a worse team, as well! I have no problem with someone liking their own player when discussing trade value, but if you are building a team and you have to pick one of the guys on this list to start to build around, Fowler is not in the conversation.
