One of my favorite memories of Matsui:
I was at his first game back as an Angel. We got to see him get his ring and the whole team mobbed him producing this now famous image...
Then he hit a homerun in his first at-bat and 50,000 people stood up as one and gave him a standing ovation. Cheering for a former Yankee when he hits a homer is commonplace, but I've never liked it, and until then never participated. This was different. This was Matsui. I stood up and cheered this time.
