If you want to know what's missing from the Rangers, watch a Devils game. I caught the last 10 minutes + OT of NJD/NYI last night. The Devils were in maximum attack mode the entire time. Voracious puck pursuit. Relentless forecheck. Heavy, constant offensive pressure. Absolute commitment to winning that game lead to an Elias GW. I haven't seen that level of commitment from the Rangers at any point this season.
not just this season, more like the last 7. too few players on this team play a motivated game. ortmeyer deserved more ice last night. i would have moved him up with holik to give kovalev more room last night. lindros appears willing to get involved but unfortunately he doesn't seem to click offensively with anyone on this team. maybe it's time to put him back at center and play him with rucinsky??
