Capital City Showdown

Sens top Capitals 2-1 in shootout affair

Kyle Turris scored the shootout winner.

This was a close and physical contest, highlighted by only 2 goals scored and lots of hitting. Jason Spezza scored Ottawa's goal, and also had 2 boarding penalties, including a nasty one on Caps defenceman Mike Green 12 seconds into the contest. Alex Ovechkin scored Washington's goal, on a power play.
