With the game evolving, players aren't gonna need to have game-breaking offensive abilities nor be dinosaurs. As Wikstrand fits neither category, one might be less excited about him, but I think he's a good prospect that definitely has more upside than Fredrik Claesson, as much as I like that guy.
Today, however, was clearly his second worst game of the tournament behind the disappointing Swiss performance (including the pre-tourney games).
It'll be interesting to see what happens now that the real tournament starts.
Well said, but one thing you need to be very good at in today's game is skating and from what i've seen in these three games his stride clearly needs to improve. He lost a couple of puck races that were very close to cost the team.
What impresses me the most is that he looks to be a disciplined guy.
