Chris' bro also said that Higgins was nursing a wrist injury because of a slash. If the guy ain't 100% we shouldn't call him up on those terms. Particularly if the intention is to play on the third line in a shutdown center role. You just don't give a rookie such responsabilities. I think it's funny that people believe Higgins is already a John Madden or Mike Peca kinda guy. He's not ready at all for such a job IMO. I'd never expect a rookie to shutdown guys like Sundin, Naslund, etc.

I'd love to see Higgins called up but there's a logjam at the center position. So I'd rather see him as a LW somewhere on an offensive line. But right now my opinion is that our top 6 forward are set. They all seem to bring something on the ice and i'd not break that chemistry.
