Something from Percy LeSueur.
In 1909 was selected (from wikipedia) to the first All star game (Hod stuart memorial game). Moran and Billy Nicholson seemed to be very intrested in playing that game also.
His work at 1908-1909 season "Stamped" him as the best goalie in game and made him the best paid goalie. Rumours were that the salary could have been 1000$?
From 1908 to 1914 it was quite easy to find articles which mentioned him as the best goalie. Of course itīs possible that it was opinon of few people copied by many?
Here are few.
From 1910 peerless net custodian
Bert Lindsay (best of the coast league? I guess he had really great season.) compared to the great Percy Lesueur.
"As a goalkeeper ,LeSueur still in a class by himself" (This has appeared here earlier)
Lester Patrick old time all star from 1927. Goalies Moran and LeSueur. (mentioned in Morans profile). I guess this just missed Holmes and Lehman who were still playing.
