The one thing I'll add to this is that IMO Alex Mogilny is one of the most under-rated defensive players ever.

His hockey sense and positioning were absolutely off the charts - best player I've ever seen on the forecheck at anticipating the passing lane a defender would look to use and closing it up and either tipping the pass or forcing the play to a low percentage option. Absolutely superior hockey intellect.

It's a shame his 1996-2000 seasons were such a complete and utter write-off due to the horrific state of the Canuck franchise and the impossibly bad linemates he was usually stuck with, as well as his own injury issues.
