It seems like he realizes he can't build a team that way and will go back to his more succesfull style that brought them championships.
That's why I find it hard to believe they will trade Stanton. He's at low cost for 2 more seasons and his value will still go up more next year since he's only 23.

Ok...first of all, Loria only got one championship with the Marlins, in 2003. And debatable how much credit he should get for that since he bought the team in 2002. The former GM of the previous ownership, from most people's opinions, gets a lot of the credit for that championship. Since then as his influence over the team has grown more and more the decision making at the top of the organization has become more and more questionable. He's seems only concerned about money, winning is secondary. So to Loria, money-great, winning-meh. And screw anybody else who thinks otherwise( he seems to take joy in that for some reason).
