Agreed. More than half the league making the playoffs is just wrong. It's bad enough as it is that 16 teams out of 30 get in. I wouldn't take away a playoff round exactly, but I migrated to hockey from baseball, so having outright losing teams in the playoffs is just a bit jarring.

I suppose that makes sense to someone coming from baseball, but i would imagine for fans of the other big 3 sports in North America having
only 8 teams make the playoffs is just downright incomprehensible.
