I'm fairly certain I would never, ever have hired anyone without some previous experience in the position of head coach, especially for a development team. Maybe someone young, (frankly, I'm thinking of a guy like Dominique Ducharme 39-22-2-5 last year with a rebuilding and very young Halifax Mooseheads team, and a ridiculous 31-3-1-1 this year in the Q) but at least have a bit of a track record of not getting in the way as head coach. That said, I hoped that a miracle would occur and Sylvain Lefevbre was born to coach hockey or that Bergevin knew something that I did not. I have lost faith in both possibilities.
