Varlamov is a great guy but very inconsistent. He's a great goalie to stop unbelievable shots, but not a very good consistent goaltender. He can stand on his head but aren't in the same company as guys like Lundqvist, Brodeur, Thomas, etc.

Holtby made miraculous saves this past season yet was consistent for the majority of the time. AND Holtby has a bigger upside.

Neuvirth is going to be a good goalie, maybe not Varlamov.
Bolded is not true at all, Varly has the potential to be a Top 5 goalie in the league, as has been said the only issues with his game have been injuries and maybe consistency.

But for those saying Varlamov has been inconsistent, since the Allstar break of last year up until now, Varly has played to a 93.9sv% of 22 his last 22 games in the NHL and the 16 in the KHL, as well as a 1.87 GAA. That's pretty damn impressive and consistent.

Don't forget Siemens, Stastny, and McGinn. Siemens still has Top pairing potential, and Stastny could easily return to 70 point form with a goal scorer like McGinn on his wing.
