This is totally predictable IMHO, so I don't know why you would have such certainty that two expensive, tradeable players wouldn't be dealt in the same season. And don't think for a second that Milbury doesn't have an Oleg Kvasha hard-on for Alex Svitov.
You watch, a few more losses to darken an otherwise dark winter on LI and Mad Mike will poke his head up with a Hamrlik-for-Svitov deal straight up. He'll call Svitov one of the best prospects in the game and talk about how the Isles had enough top dmen to dump one and losing Harmlik's salary will help the bottom line. Then, MM will be able to focus on lowering payroll further and continuing to remake the roster by dealing off an expensive but tradeable forward.
Not fact, not really even a prediction, just saying it's all possible. ***** rolls downhill when an owner is pissed about his bottom line.

What comments has Wang made to indicate he's grumbling? The recent comments I've read have him saying he's going to concentrate on the nyi and still wants to get his sports complex built.
Isles have announced new tix deals to bring the fans back in,raise attendance.Newsday reporting that the isles backing off their trade threats 2-3 days after Wang drops his Nets bid(freeing up $265m),isn't an indication that the nyi are about to clean house yet again.Isles are trying to lure fans back in,not drive them away.
and MM asked for Svitov during the same draft weekend he also tried prying Antropov+Alexeev away. You overestimate MM's wanting Svitov.ANY highly rated skilled prospect, who the nyi thinks has the potential to develop into a first liner have done.MM has no more a hard-on for Alex Svitov then he has for the other two.
