I think you are messed up between #19 and #12. Patrick Marleau was the one who was awesome in the first round and in the first four against Edmonton. Thornton got 4 secondary assists in the first round and was a none factor, Vesa Toskala and Patrick Marleau won that series. Against Edmonton, Thornton scored 2 goals, one was a tap in, the other one an irrevalent one I believe. The guy didn't stand out at all during the playoffs and wasn't as dominating as he was in the regular season. So No-show Joe was just himself once again.

On the other hand, Lecavalier in the playoffs stepped up when his team won the cup. He didn't score a lot of point but he was playing the body and creating chances, plus he wasn't shabby offensivly. Heck, he even fought Iginla! He wasn't the best player on his team, but no matter what, he showed up and gave it all a thing that Thornton never did.
