This has been discussed before. A lot, if not all AHL teams would lose good players as well. The Barons would lose RNH, Eberle, Hall and Schultz, for example. If the lockout were to end and Kassian, Tanev and Schroeder were to play on the Canucks, guys like Haydar, Ebbett would likely pick up their play as the AHL wouldn't be as competitive as it is right now. They are first line players in the AHL, right now they aren't/shouldn't be. Same with defensemen, and goalies that were once AHL starters are backups for the time being.
Would be nice to see Mallet and others with the Wolves regularly as well.
