Flyers' Meszaros (Achilles) Would Likely Play if Season Started in Jan.: General manager Paul Holmgren siad Andrej Meszaros (Achilles) would likely be ready to play if the NHL lockout ends in January, CSN Philly reports.
(Updated 12/20/12)
Andrej Meszaros is coming back form a left Achilles tear and will meet with a doctor in early January, which will give us a better idea of exactly where he is in the recovery process.

I imagine with the good news concerning the CBA we'll be hearing about Mez one way or the other very soon.

Andrej Meszaros (left Achilles tear) has made substantial progress, and if the NHL returns to play in January, he’d likely be on the opening night roster.
“His next doctor’s appointment is just after the New Year,” Holmgren said. “If we’re going to start playing any time soon, I think he’d be ready to play.”
