I'm sorry to sound like a BOH poster but I'm starting to wonder if the lockout was always an easy out for him.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in front of the council "asking" for more time because the lockout messed up his plan. Council obviously says no and we have stern face Jamison outside the council chambers telling us all how he thinks this is a great hockey market but the council isn't willing to see it that way. But he has to respect their decision.
