Well, JD did start his NHL career with St. Louis but he wasn't there long and I can't believe there's much of a "coming home" aspect to his return to the Blues. Nope, looks like Checketts has written a big, fat check. Good for JD. I'm never against anyone getting a big payday.

I seem to remember there being some talk about JD getting a management position with the Rangers while Sather's been here. Anybody remember this? It might have just been speculation in the media which never amounted to anything.

As for the actual game broadcasts, they could really go down the tubes with a new voice. JD hasn't been perfect but he's better than most analysts out there. Dave Maloney might be able to do the trick. It'll be interesting if nothing else to see how this all plays out.
