Who cares why Carolina let Lavi go, what have they done since? Your point about Boston and NJ is pretty misguided since Boston won the cup, and NJ went to the Finals. Using your logic, every team in the NHL should have fired their coach when Boston won the Cup and every team in the East should have fired their coach last year.
