A couple interesting things there.

Boucher says the length of camp will determine how many players are invited to training camp. Camp will also be more scrimmaging and not a lot of drills. And Marty pointed out that while everyone is talking about the importance of a strong start to the season, it's better to finish strong and head into the playoffs hot.

I was actually thinking about scrimmages vs. drills earlier today and came to the conclusion myself that scrimmages would be better in this instance. I am a hockey genius.

Let me explain how I came to this conclusion. Drills are theoretical intensonomics while scrimmages are applied, and application is the pudding.

This isn't the year to have a learning curve. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I don't know if that's Boucher's thinking, but it's the best I've got.
