This Visnovsky situation is weird ... as I was leaving work, I saw stuff on Twitter with Bill Daly confirming the Russian league had promised to honor all contracts with the NHL, and they would not allow signed NHL players to remain in the KHL after the lockout ended.

Obviously, that would mean Visnovsky didn't have to come to Long Island, but the Russians wouldn't allow him to play either.

As I sit down, Bobbie Mac is again talking about the Russian teams offering major incentives to not leave the KHL.

Ehhh ... I guess you just have to stop looking for logic.

Regardless, I don't like what Radulov did to Nashville, but I don't think this situation is similar. The owners chose to lock these guys out, and they had to go find work elsewhere.

I hope they come back, but I don't blame them if they don't.
