if it comes to it they will overpay for edler, im sure of it. especially considering after the season if worst comes to worst ballard will be bought out and luongo to waivers if must be. clearing most cap problems for the canucks. edler deserves to be the highest paid dman on this team even with his inconsistencies and gillis knows it.
