If you don't have a guy who is good on faceoffs then you're going to be hemmed in your own zone and it gives the other team a huge advantage. Plus Yakupov needs a defensive player on his line to make up for his lack of defense. Horcoff provides this.

Nuge is below average on faceoffs, but he's done a good job improving in that area. I believe he was at or above 50% in the AHL.
