Del Zotto, 22, is coming off his three-year, entry-level contract. He's believed to be looking for between $3 million and $4 million a season on a new multi-year contract.

Another Newport Sports client. Mark Guy represents both players.

Here is Shane OíBrienís thoughts about Ryan OíReilly after todayís captainís practice. I also talked to captain Gabe Landeskog and Matt Duchene about Factor, a RFA who, according to one source, wants a five-year deal at the same or similar salary the Avs are offering on three years. Thatís speculation, but knowing Factor, the kid wants to dig himself in here and still get Matt Duchene/Erik Johnson-type money ($3.5 to $3.7 million per year).

Larry Brooks wrote DZ in September

The Rangersí offer to Group II free agent Michael Del Zotto coming off his Entry Level deal was for two or three years at upward of $2.5 million per. If the cap is squeezed coming out of the lockout, Del Zotto, who may see his arbitration rights and free-agent eligibility deferred as a result of the agreement, will get less; perhaps significantly less.

None of that happened.
