Does this logic apply to players like:

Malkin
Datsyuk
Sedin #1
Sedin #2
Miller
Marleau
Gaborik
Thornton
Vanek
Stastny
Callahan
Pavelski
Letang
Brown

All who are FA's at the same time as Kessel.

We still have a year and a half to hammer out a deal with Kessel, no way we trade him for an underpayment just because of the years left on his contract. Just because some bone heads on the radio say the leafs should trade Kessel doesn't mean it's going to happen. Of course the media is in "the sky is falling" mode, Burkes firing came out of no where. I expect this all to pass once the season starts.
