That could well be, or not. We dont really know one way or the other.

What difference does it make?

From where I sit, it doesnt matter much. Ya, it would be nice to play on a winning team in a big city, or your home town, but at the end of the day, he decided to stay home after the Christmas break, instead of toughing it out for 90 days in his draft year. Barring some kind of situation where his safety was in peril, or some kind of family emergency, it is hard to justify what he did.
