My theory on why SNL isn't as great as it used to be I think is a pretty good one. It's due to the fact that there are now so many ways to break into the comedy/acting scene, that the top-talents don't need SNL anymore. Think about the millions of new sitcoms that hit the airwaves every year, or just stand up routines that can take off on YT or a quick local comedy tour.
A guy like Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) would have been EXCELLENT on SNL. But he got his big break writing for '30 Rock' and then starring in 'Community' rather than having to go through the SNL trade like guys like Adam Sandler, Mike Meyers, Chevy Chase, etc... etc... had to go through.
Agree on all points, ESPECIALLY the Jennifer Lawrence part
, the next few hosts should be interesting, you have Lawrence, Adam Levine, then Bieber, key word interesting haha.
