You're easily dazzled by his speed and moves. Unfortunately, so far these have rarely resulted in the puck going in the net. Let's look at results: Ryder had 5 points, Perezhogin 2 in the playoffs. Ryder outscored him by about a 5 to 2 margin in the regular season too.

I'm hoping as much as anybody that Perezhogin develops into a better player than Ryder (and he definitely has the potential), but it hasn't come close to happening yet.
