Michigan D Mac Bennett (MON) missed the Jan. 11 & 12 series versus Alaska due to a leg injury he suffered in the Jan. 8 game versus Bowling Green. He is listed as week to week.

Merrimack D Kyle Bigos (EDM) set a new school and Hockey East record for career penalty minutes with 415 on Jan. 11 versus Boston University. He broke Merrimack’s old record of 400 that was set back in 1996 and broke Hockey East’s old record of 406 that was set back in 1989. As of this posting, Bigos has 417 career penalty minutes.

Michigan State D R.J. Boyd (FLA) posted his first goal (the game-winner) in over two years and his first as a Spartan on Jan. 12 versus Notre Dame. His last goal, while with Sacred Heart, was posted back on Nov. 13, 2010 versus Robert Morris.

Notre Dame LW Jeff Costello (OTT) missed the Jan. 11 & 12 series versus Michigan State due to an undisclosed injury that he suffered on Jan. 8 versus Minnesota. His current status is unknown.

Wisconsin D Joe Faust (NJ) posted his first goal in over a year on Jan. 11 versus Minnesota State-Mankato. His last goal (the game-winner) came back on Oct. 22, 2011 versus North Dakota.
