Hickey is still in the Kings plans, as is Campbell. Hickey signed a one year deal with the Kings this past July, then signed a separate deal in September to play in Manchester. In order to stay on the Monarchs roster now that the lockout is over, he and the others must formally clear the waiver process. Now that recall is done with, they could be brought back up once they clear the initial stage.
Almost, other than the bolded. All of these players are signed. They were all locked out NHLers, however the league made a special exemption for players who were locked out but on a clear day roster last year so that they could sign lockout deals in the AHL.

It's a formality, yes but it's possible some team takes a flyer on Hickey, particularly a team like the Islanders who have openings in their D rather than rush a 18/19 year old...

I still think He will clear, there is some unwritten rule of not claiming teams waiver players they want to keep.

I also still can't believe Muzzin got a camp invite, That guy has sucked all season so far.
This isn't true, or teams would never reclaim players after they have appeared on waivers again...and Grabner/Quincey etc would never get claimed...
