I agree with this. I am actually surprised with the lack of respect some have shown. The mocking of Gomez didn't bother me that much while he was playing, but now that he's officially done, I would have expected the fans to be a little more respectful, especially, as you pointed, towards Gomez who has been nothing, but honest about his contract+his play and has been a good guy.
