But a downgrade on the pick does not make or break the deal IMO. Even more ideal (especially for next year) would be to replace Asham in the deal with Mike Rupp. Murray and Rupp are probably on the same level when it comes to enforcing/fighting heavyweights. Actually, I think Murray is the better fighter. Rupp would fill a need in San Jose.
Team toughness (that can play hockey - mostly) would be retained with one of Asham/Rupp, Murray, Bickel and Haley on the team. Along with gritty character guys like Cally, Pyatt, Boyle, Kreider and Eminger. And lots of skill!
Icing this team (please do not stare at the lines as they will be juggled anyways) would be awesome IMO.
