The worst thing about this signing is that it reduces the flexiblity on defense. Roszival seemed to have real problems playing with anyone other than Malik and unless that pair is broken up (or is replaced as the first pair with a free agent signing) we will see the both of them out there 20+ minutes a night, playing with the Jagr line. To me, that's not utilizing your best asset--namely Jagr--properly. Jagr really needs to play with a blueliner who can both make the pinpoint outlet pass and is fast enough (and offensive minded enough) to jump into the play and make something happen. Malik is the perfect partner for that kind of defenseman (witness his play in Vancouver with Jovo) but, Rosvizal is not that kind of player.
