Everyone thinks the grass is greener on the other side wrt defenses. If we had the 3-4 the last few years I'm sure people would want to switch to a 4-3.
The 3-4 man scheme isn't some miracle defense that stops everything. Instead of quick slants, tight end seam routes, zone flooders, etc, you get double moves for big touchdowns, big yardage pass interference calls, amongst other things. Each has their own strengths and flaws.
