Coach McPhee talked about that a bit after the game as did a few of the players throughout the last few days: though a lot of them have played with or against each other previously in their careers, they still only had two practices to really get organized (and the first practice was a bit of a rigmarole with delayed flights causing havoc on getting all the players available).
That's part of the reason why I think Team Orr succeeded. If you look at their lineup, they had three lines made up of guys who play on the same junior team. Basically capitalizing on existing chemistry. In contrast, on Team Cherry, MacKinnon and Drouin are the only pairing that plays together in junior (and they were, by far, Team Cherry's most dangerous line last night).
