. Chances are that he is going to really struggle and hurt the team when he comes back. He has yet to put together a solid season from start to finish........maybe he should concentrate on that before playing hardball with the organization. It seems like he is trying to leverage his popularity and marketability ahead of his actual performance. Subban is a good young d-man but there still is alot of room for improvement. If he can play up to his potential the contract will be there.
Honest question, I do not know the answer. How many guys who didn't have contracts play during the lockout? I would think guys trying to get an RFA contract would think it was too signficant a risk to play in Europe. You get hurt, your RFA offer goes from millions to a ham sandwich. Did O'Reilly, Benn etc. play anywhere?
