I think some people have different views of what him being 'ready' means.

Being 'ready' doesn't necessarily mean he's going to light up the league right away. Being 'ready' likely means he can keep up and learn at the NHL level, not to put up lots of points this year, but more as experience for the future. I think the Habs brass are thinking that keeping him now will make him more prepared for the start of NEXT season compared to sending him back to Sarnia and having him come in fresh next year. What would cause him to be sent back down was if he wasn't able to play well enough to have a regular shift, which doesn't seem like a problem to me...
