Spezza is a good player, but at the moment he is not mature enough to carry a team on his shoulders. Defensively he is a turnover machine although he has elite vision on the ice (top 5 in the league). I still think when it comes down to big games, he doesn't raise his game that extra level which is expected from superstars and definetely players who deserve league max money. He also doesn't come anywhere close to being physical enough to take a team deep into the playoffs. He can be rake up points(as we have seen this past season) if he is surrounded by players who can put them in the net. Put him between Richard "One-Hand-On-My-Stick" Zednik and Jan "Stone-Hands" Bulis and then tell me if you would give him league max.

Also, what has this kid ever won?
