Edmonton has a much more capable defense than a year ago. Petry and Smid are a solid second pair. N. Schultz is a good second pair guy. Fistric is a decent enough bottom pair guy. Whitney is a first pair guy when healthy, second pair when not. Justin Shultz is a wild card, but will probably be a very good d-man. That said, trading Whitney puts Corey Potter back in the lineup every night, and I want no part of that, ha ha.
