The Leafs D were worse then the Oilers last year and Franson was their 7th D. He has real bad lateral movement, slow takeoff speed, will play a physical game, but that rarely happens. Often gets caught standing still doing a pylon imitation. You would think he would of excelled under Ron Wilson and the type of wide open game he coaches, but if anything he took a big step backward. He was often a HS and when he did played it was only because of injuries to other D on the team He has a above average shot and does not do a bad job at carrying the puck, but his poor decision making and hockey sense wouldn't make him a good fit in Edmonton.
