I'm not referring to Slovan because I assume anyone here would care, but because it definitely helps understand Višňovský's motivation for his conduct. His current situation is a
combination of several factors. 3 of them stand out, and none of them should be underestimated:
- his family issues (son's illness, etc.)
- his passion to play for Slovan
- his grudge against the NHL as such (not against the Isles!), due to never being allowed to make use of the no-trade clause he had signed
