Rinne vs. Bobrovsky tonight in nets.
Looking forward to getting back at it tonight. With Gillies sitting, I wouldn't doubt we see McGrattan scratched and Clune make his debut. McGrattan will play against St. Louis, but let's take it one game at a time. [edit: totally forgot about Boll, Gaustad can handle Dorsett, McGrattan will likely dress against Boll]
Jackets are no longer reliant on one or two players to provide their offense. They are built like the Predators now with strength down the middle and balance on the wings. Should be a much more competitive foe this season...
No predictions from me, the game is decided on the ice. The Preds will need to bring energy from the opening puck drop to the final buzzer, engage the crowd, and limit their mistakes while pouncing on those of the Jackets tonight. Expecting a sloppier game than normal. Fresh ice will lead to the puck bouncing around more than normal and will break down quicker as the periods wind down. The Preds need to establish their puck pressure style of play early and maintain that throughout to win tonight.
Here's to hoping they do...
