I think a lot depends on how the organization intends to treat Weekes. If they are going to move him then Montoya will be here for at least another year. You cannot logically trade both of them. That would put us one injury away from wishing for the good ol' Mike Dunham era. If Weekes stays, Montoya is available. All along I have felt that when the right deal presents itself the Rangers will know and act accordingly. There seems to be lots of logical landing spots for Al including Washington, Detroit, Florida and the one everyone seems to forget -- his hometown of Chicago. One other thought -- if the Rangers trade down it may be a precursor to picking a goaltender high in the second round where several are expected to go. That sets the table for a future deal.
