Brooks has been declining for several years now. From an asset management perspective the return he will generate gets smaller everyday. Martin was only bad for 40 games and (knock on wood) looks like he's back up to his normal standard.

If Brooks goes this year it will mean a step down for the top 4, but I'm not convinced it will be as steep as some seem to think. Orpik + a depth forwad could probably still net us another Kunitz type.
