we are so rarely in the top of the draft, that i think it's worth it to draft top-end talent, look at Pitkanen, rather than draft for depth, when a good offer and the right player are there for us.

depth is nice, but i don't care about winning the AHL when the NHL is playing. you need a couple players in the AHL that can come up and contribute... anything more than that and you're not going to be talking about a Cup.
